If you weren't at JAM by Paideia last month, let me just say—you missed out on one of the best nights of the year. The atmosphere was electric, the worship was next level, and the music? Straight fire. It’s that kind of event where the energy in the air is so thick, you can almost feel it on your skin.

It was a balmy night out in Western Sydney, and as we pulled up to Common House Studio in Glendenning, the place was already alive. The crowd was hyped—everyone packed in shoulder to shoulder, all waiting for the same thing: a night of good music and good vibes. From food trucks serving up good eats to Christian merch (shoutout to Justified Collective—go show them some love), everything about it screamed something special was about to go down.

But, hey, of course, nothing’s perfect, right? The sound wasn’t working at first, and instead of stressing, everyone just started singing acapella worship songs and praying over the sound systems. It was honestly one of those moments that made you stop and appreciate the beauty of it all—everyone just coming together and lifting their voices in unity. No tech issues were gonna stop this night.

Once the music kicked off, ninan hit the stage and absolutely owned it. If you haven’t heard his stuff, you need to. If you recognise his face, that’s because he is part of the team here at For The Glory (he wears many hats - what a legend). His whole set was packed with originals that hit hard, both lyrically and emotionally.

"Warfare" set the tone, and I’m telling you, you could feel the power in every word. "Even When It Hurts" got everyone in their feels, but "I’m Yours" was where the crowd really connected. Then there was "Running to You"—if you weren’t already hyped, that one took the whole night to another level. And "Threw Me the Rope"? Yeah, the crowd went wild. Pure energy, pure worship.

It was the kind of set that makes you wanna turn up the volume on every track and play it on repeat.

Chetty then came in with his own set of originals and didn’t let up for a second. Starting off with "Blessings," the crowd was vibing hard. You know when a song just connects with everyone in the crowd? That was this one. "Never Let Me Go" went off!

He then quietened the crowd of young people—who were eager to hear the next note—to share his heartfelt testimony. Chetty is a man of deep character, shaped by some unfortunate and tragic moments in his upbringing. Yet, he preaches a message of such hope! Being invited into his journey was truly an honour. It’s moments like these in a live show that you never forget—and in my opinion, they’re the ones that leave the deepest impact. But then came

"ALPHA&OMEGA," and wow—if you didn’t know that God’s got all the power, this track was here to remind you. It was bold, it was raw, and the crowd ate it up. "Wide Awake" was the anthem we didn’t know we needed, with everyone jumping and shouting, caught up in the freedom of it all. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, "GLORY" absolutely set the place on fire. It felt like we were all part of something so much bigger than just a concert—it was pure worship, unfiltered. Chetty then hit us with one of my personal favourites "FLY," and let me tell you… That’s the song of the summer... every summer, hands down (even if it's not technically summer yet).

And of course the boys ended out the set by performing their song they released together in 2024, "JTTW"!

But the night didn’t end there. After the music, Elijah Theodor (from Altar Church) brought a preach that cut deep. No fluff. Just truth, conviction, and a reminder that we’re not here to just exist—we’re called to live with purpose. He shared the gospel with boldness, and the whole room leaned in (even if the ‘room’ was now just the open air, courtesy of the heatwave). And then the final worship session brought everything full circle. No hype, no performance—just hearts postured before God. You could feel heaven touching earth in that space.

The Verdict?

If you missed out on this recent event by Paideia this year, you’ve gotta mark your calendar for June 2025. It’s not just a fun night; it’s a movement. It’s a place where young people gather to worship, to connect, and to be reminded of who we are in Christ. To be childlike as the name suggests. The music, the community, the message—it’s all just something special that’ll stick with you long after the night is over.

So yeah, Paideia? Don’t sleep on it.
