We had the chance to talk with Chetty about his inspirations, passions, and experiences that have shaped his musical journey. Chetty is based in Australia but grew up in the Philippines. His childhood played a significant part in his journey in music.

"I was introduced to music at a very young age thanks to my very gifted family. However, my passion for pursuing music came from serving in my church."

Chetty started writing music in 2021 and his passion was kindled after watching a performance by Chance the Rapper, “I was inspired by how much glory he gave to God, and that gave me the fire to do the same.”

Chetty finds inspiration in his faith, which plays a huge part in his creative process and lyrics. Chetty aims to make sure his lyrics speak life and describes his approach as “preaching but on a beat!”

“I create music because I don’t want to waste the gift that God has given me. My goal is to inspire others to go after their God dreams!  I stay inspired by knowing that there are plenty more souls out there that need to encounter Jesus. So the more I create, the more I get a chance to share about our God.”

When asked about his musical influences, Chetty reveals the artists that have impacted his sound: Hulvey, KB, Caleb Gordon, Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, and J Cole.

With aspirations of collaborating with Hulvey, KB, Alex Jean, and Caleb Gordon, Chetty's vision for his music is rooted in a desire to explore and evolve as an artist. “Sound-wise, I see my music going more towards the singing R&B style. As much as I love rapping I’ve only started rapping in 2021, but I’ve always sang more. So I want to explore more of my voice and evolve my music in the next coming year.”

With the release of his first single in 2021, Chetty is just getting started on his musical journey. But regardless of where it takes him, he remains steadfast in his commitment to embracing God's plan for his life and career. “It’s just the beginning! But when it comes to reflecting God’s plan for me, I know that God will take me places I can’t even imagine. Whether it’s a small crowd of 10 or a big crowd of 10,000, I will be unashamed and give all the glory to God as I share the good news.”

As he embarks on this journey of faith, music, and self-discovery, Chetty's message is clear: more life, more music, and an unwavering commitment to shining the light of God's love in all he does.

"I hope that the listeners will be inspired to chase after their God dreams too. I want them to find God through my songs and be closer to Him."

And here’s a fun fact to conclude our journey into Chetty’s world: If he could be best friends with any Bible character, who would it be?

“It’s easily Jesus, but I don’t want to play the easy card so I want to say Peter. When he denied Jesus not once - but three times, God still forgave him and Peter ended up bringing thousands to the kingdom of God. I feel like I want him to be my best friend, so he can guide me even at my very worst and know that even if I forget about God, God never leaves me and I am still called and chosen to bring many lives to the kingdom.”

Chetty's journey is only beginning—filled with inspiration, creativity and boundless potential.
