Growing up in Greenville, SC, Austin Joyce found himself immersed in an urban environment where Hip-Hop culture was everywhere. Music quickly became second nature, but, his faith journey didn't truly begin until his college years at Clemson University. In school, our For The Glory Artist of the Month for April, Austin hung out with friends who often made poor choices. He cared about them but couldn’t bring himself to join in. One night at the student union, a stranger invited them to a Bible study. To Austin’s surprise, his friends were excited to go. With nothing else to do, he went along. That night changed everything. The Bible study and the people he met helped him grow closer to God. From that point on, Austin saw life differently and wanted to live for God’s glory.
“It's allowed me to look at every facet of my life with a new lens and a less selfish perspective. Everything I put my mind to should be used for HIS glory and not my own.”

By 2022, doors were opening in Austin’s music career. More importantly, his songs were touching people’s hearts and helping them grow in faith. That’s when he knew it was time to fully commit to music. “My songwriting is truly built out of experiences and how Jesus has redeemed multiple areas of my life.”
When it comes to writing songs, Austin’s inspiration comes from his own experiences and how Jesus has changed his life. He also discovered artists like Chris Renzema and Hulvey, who inspired him with their honest storytelling and fresh approach to Christian music. These artists talk about real struggles in a way that feels real, which is something Austin aims to do in his music. He blends worship and Hip-Hop in a way that’s fresh and easy to relate to. “I feel like it intertwines a multitude of genres and styles that allow God's name to really shine through.”
When asked about the biggest lesson he's learned since starting his music career, Austin shared, "This industry ain't easy, and it requires more dependence on Christ than I ever could've imagined. Patience and trust in God's timing is something I've grown in and continue to grow in as the days pass."

More than just making music, Austin’s wants to build a community where people feel closer to God and connected to him as an artist.
“We are all human and have so many common experiences that we don't even know about, which is why we are more alike than we think. I truly yearn to be an artist who is different from the ones put on a pedestal and become a creator who makes fans truly feel: KNOWN. SEEN. LOVED.”
This desire for connection extends outside of music as well. Austin loves playing basketball, spending time with family and friends, and meeting new people in his city. Lately, he’s been streaming on Twitch, where his audience is growing quickly—another space where he’s able to engage with people and build meaningful connections.

To anyone afraid to share their creative gifts, Austin shares this verse: “Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you” (1 Samuel 12:24).
Looking ahead, Austin plans to continue releasing singles, experimenting with new sounds, and working on his debut album. And who knows? A tour might be on the horizon.
