What started as a fun hobby has grown into a purpose-driven calling using music as a tool to glorify God and touch lives. Alongside his career as a video game designer and drummer in his church, our Artist of the month for October, BrandyIn, continues to pour his heart into songwriting, drawing inspiration from scripture, personal experiences, and the Holy Spirit. In this conversation, he opens up about his journey with faith, the creative process behind his music, and the mission that drives him forward.

For those who may be new to your music, how would you describe your sound and what inspires it?Â
BrandyIn:Â I wouldn't say I have a specific type of sound. I'm a music lover, so I take inspiration from any genres, whether it's rap, r&b, pop, latin and even worship. If you are looking for a creative experience with diverse genres, my music is a great option for you.
You grew up in a Christ-centered environment but mentioned that your faith journey deepened when you experienced God’s overwhelming love and truly decided to follow Christ. How did that moment change your approach to music and ministry?Â
BrandyIn:Â I used to make music simply because it was a fun thing to do for me. I grew up in a household where Christianity was the core but in my younger years I never really understood the impact music could really have especially when you put Jesus in the center of it. As I grew older, I started having more faith in Christ and letting Him guide my steps in many different aspects of my life, as well as music. That's when I felt a real purpose in my music career. Glorifying God and saving souls became my top priority.Â

What does your songwriting process usually look like?
BrandyIn: Usually when I write, I start by listening to the beat. Then, based off the vibe I get from it I choose a title. With the title, I start creating the chorus of the song and I then proceed to explain this chorus in my verses. I mix and master my own songs so any idea I have, I record it into my music software. Then I like to finish by adding the back vocals and ad-libs, and make sure the song sounds as complete as it can. I also often pray before I start writing to let the Holy Spirit inspire me.Â
Is there a specific Bible verse or story that has deeply impacted your recent songwriting?
BrandyIn: I wouldn't say recently but I've always kept a Bible verse close to my heart throughout my whole music career. Philippians 1:21 which says, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain". It's a Bible verse that my late grandaunt used to repeat a lot. She's been a great and positive influence in my walk with Christ and since she passed, this Bible verse took a deep meaning for me and I kept it with me everywhere I went. I also went through a period of my life where I had an undiagnosed disease in my blood. The doctors couldn't put their finger on what it was and it really challenged me and my faith. But throughout this whole process, God had been working for me and he helped me come to a point where I was not scared of dying or leaving this world, but as long as I would be alive, I'd be living fully for Christ.
What message do you hope listeners take away from your music?
If you could collaborate with any Christian artist who would it be and why?Â
BrandyIn: I've always wanted to collaborate with Hulvey. I really like his music, his genre, as well as the sincerity he exudes in his art. I've been listening to him since almost when he started making music and I still do to this day. I know one day it will happen and I will keep working towards that, but right now I'm focusing on building my music career one step at a time.
Outside of music, what are some things you’re passionate about or enjoy doing?
BrandyIn: Most people don't know, but I'm also a video games designer (more specifically a 3D animator in video games) as my main job. I really enjoy this job and I'm truly thankful to God for allowing me to work in that field. Also, I'm a family guy, I love spending time with my loved ones, especially my wife and traveling and discovering new places. I also play drums at church, which I've been doing for almost 20 years now.

What’s next for you?
BrandyIn:Â I got a lot of unreleased songs that are ready to drop. I'll be working on those, focusing on the promo and try to make as much of an impact as I can with them. I'm continually working on my art to improve it and I'm looking forward to sharing what I've been cooking to the world. So stay tuned !Â
BrandyIn's story is a reminder that real impact happens when Jesus is at the center. Through his faith and creativity, he's turning music into ministry, using every song to point back to Christ.
